About Regency

Regency Duty Free started as a small family owned company in 1986 and grew substantially following the award of the Duty Free concession at Auckland International Airport in 1987. In March 1995 Allders International, one of the world's largest Duty Free operators, purchased Regency Duty Free and the company's "Made In New Zealand" stores. In July 1996 Allders International was in turn purchased by The Nuance Group, an SAir relations company. During 2002 The Nuance Group was aquired by Gruppo PAM SpA and Stefanel SpA. In February 2007 an agreement was reached with Newrest which acquires 40% of the shares of Nuance Australia & New Zealand. Jonathan Stent-Torriani will return to travel retail, now CEO of Newrest, who will head the alliance. 

In New Zealand Regency has 7 Duty Free stores, 4 located at Auckland Airport and 3 at Wellington Airport.  Regency also operates 2 "Made In New Zealand" stores The Cellar operates at Auckland Airport and 2 Discover NZ stores at Christchurch International Airport and Wellington Airport.

At Made In New Zealand you will find an extensive range of 100% New Zealand Made souvenirs, food and clothing. The Cellar specialises in fine New Zealand and International wines and foods.
